About Su Scrivens

About

Hello, I’m Su Scrivens, an experienced UK Genealogist. Trace Your Ancestry is a venture developed from my passion for genealogy. I have been researching my own family tree for over 20 years, uncovering over 8,000 people going back to 12th century Wales and England. I have been providing my family research skills to friends and family for the past 10 years which has enabled me to develop a range of research skills.

I am based in the Chilterns on the Herts/Bucks border within an hour of the following excellent physical resources: –

  • Buckinghamshire Archives, located in Aylesbury
  • Hertfordshire Archives & Local Studies Library, located in Hertford

There is a wealth of documentation held at these repositories and others in the local area, providing sources such as church records, electoral registers, trade directories, newspapers, cemetery indexes, court records and much more.

I look forward to discussing your family research needs with you and seeing how I can help you discover your ancestry.

How can I help you?

As well as locally based research, I also undertake on-line research for individuals whose families are from England; Wales; Scotland & Ireland. Utilising, amongst others, the on-line Census’ taken every 10 years from 1841 to 1921 and the General Register Office indexes of births, marriages and death certificates. I can also supply birth, marriage and death certificates.

I can search the surviving military service records for World War One.
